Data, Automation & AI Agent Intern
- Brussels
- Finance
Job description
We are looking for motivated interns to support our Finance and Support Functions in their digital transformation journey.
You will help translate real business challenges into practical digital solutions. Depending on the project, these solutions may range from low-code automations and data transformations to AI agents and reusable tools that allow agents to perform specific tasks.
You will work directly with stakeholders from areas such as Accounting, Controlling, Risk and other Support Functions. Together with them, you will analyse existing processes, understand their challenges, rapidly develop a first solution and improve it based on feedback.
The internship can include projects such as:
Automating data preparation, transformation and consolidation using Excel, Power Query or Python
Automating repetitive processes in SAP and other business applications
Building workflows and RPA solutions using Power Automate
Developing AI agents using tools such as Microsoft Copilot Studio
Creating reusable tools for agents, such as Python scripts or Power Automate workflows
Connecting agents with documents, data sources and existing business processes
Developing clear dashboards, reports or lightweight applications
Improving the reliability, documentation and maintainability of existing solutions
This internship offers you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of business, data, automation and artificial intelligence. You will work in an environment where experimentation is encouraged, but where solutions must also deliver tangible value to their users.
You will also gain insight into the energy sector and contribute to an organisation working towards a more sustainable energy future.
Your daily job as an intern
You engage with business stakeholders to understand their processes, challenges and objectives.
You translate sometimes complex or unclear business problems into structured technical requirements.
You design and develop practical automation, data or AI-enabled solutions.
You build low-code automations using tools such as Excel, Power Query, Power Automate and SAP scripting.
You contribute to the development of AI agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio or other internal agent platforms.
You develop reusable agent tools, which may include Python scripts, workflows, prompts or connectors.
You test your solutions with end users and improve them based on feedback.
You document your solutions so that they can be understood, maintained and reused by others.
You communicate progress, challenges and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You work independently on your assignments while receiving guidance and support from experienced team members.
You develop a practical understanding of digital transformation, Finance, the energy sector, automation and agentic AI.
Your profile
We welcome students from a wide range of educational backgrounds, including IT, data science, artificial intelligence, engineering, business, economics and related fields.
You do not need to be an expert in all the technologies listed below. We are primarily looking for someone who is curious, eager to learn and motivated to turn business problems into working solutions.
You must be enrolled at a college or university at the time of the internship.
What we are looking for
You are interested in data, automation, artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
You enjoy understanding how a business process works and identifying how it could be improved.
You have experience with, or a strong interest in learning, tools such as Excel, Power Query, Power Automate, Python or Microsoft Copilot Studio.
You are curious about AI agents and how they can use knowledge, workflows and technical tools to support users.
You are comfortable experimenting with new technologies and learning through practical projects.
You approach problems in a logical and structured way.
You can work independently, while actively asking for feedback when needed.
You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You are comfortable refining a solution iteratively based on user feedback.
You pay attention to quality, documentation and maintainability.
You are fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a strong asset.
Experience with SAP automation, VBA, Power BI, Qlik Sense, Git, APIs or application development is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Practical information
The internship lasts between 5 and 12 months.
You are expected to be available at least four days per week.
The position is hybrid, with regular presence in our Brussels office.
We are currently looking for interns who can support the team during the first semester of 2027.
If you are eager to gain professional experience in a team that combines business understanding with automation, data and AI, this internship will give you the opportunity to work on real challenges and deliver solutions that are used by stakeholders across the organisation.
