Public Affairs Manager Wallonia | Vacancy Brussels

As Public Affairs Manager Wallonia, you play a key role in supporting Luminus' strategic ambitions across energy transition, renewable energy, electrification and low-carbon solutions. Working closely with political, institutional and socio-economic stakeholders, you help create the conditions for the successful development of our projects and strengthen our presence throughout Wallonia.

What you’ll do

• You build, maintain and strengthen relationships with political decision-makers, public administrations, local authorities, professional federations, academic institutions and opinion leaders across Wallonia.

• Representing Luminus at meetings, conferences and working groups, you ensure that our interests and priorities are well understood by external stakeholders.

• You monitor political, regulatory and societal developments and assess their potential impact on our activities and projects.

• Working closely with project development teams, you support interactions with local authorities and stakeholders, particularly for renewable energy projects.

• You contribute to advocacy and stakeholder engagement strategies that support the development of a favourable environment for our energy projects.

• Advising management on political, regulatory and reputational matters, you help prepare high-level meetings and ensure consistent messaging across internal teams.

What you bring

• Master’s degree in Political Science, Law, Economics, Communication or a related field, enabling you to understand complex public policy environments.

• At least 5 to 10 years of experience in public affairs, institutional relations, regulatory affairs or government relations, where you have developed strong stakeholder networks.

• Proven experience working within the Walloon institutional landscape and a solid understanding of Belgian public decision-making processes.

• Strong networking and relationship-building skills that allow you to establish credibility and trust with a broad range of stakeholders.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, helping you influence and engage diverse audiences effectively.

• Fluency in French and English. Knowledge of Dutch is considered an asset and helps you engage with stakeholders across Belgium.
