Junior GL Accountant

As a Junior General Ledger Accountant, you play a key role in keeping our financial records accurate, reliable and compliant. You work closely with the General Accounting Manager and take ownership of general ledger activities within one or more accounting scopes, ensuring smooth daily operations and timely closings.

What you’ll do

• You plan, organize and execute daily, monthly and yearly GL activities within your scope.

• You post and review journal entries, accruals, deferrals, prepayments and provisions with accuracy.

• You reconcile balance sheet accounts, analyze variances and investigate significant movements.

• You support month-end and year-end closings, ensuring completeness, compliance and documentation.

• You contribute to financial reporting and support tax-related activities (VAT, corporate tax).

• You participate in ad hoc projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.

What you bring

• You have at least 3 years of experience in accounting (AR, AP or GL) or a similar role.

• You bring solid knowledge of BEGAAP and a basic understanding of IFRS and taxation.

• You are comfortable working with accounting systems, ideally SAP FI/CO, and advanced Excel.

• You are analytical, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.

• You communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.

• You speak English fluently and have a good knowledge of Dutch and/or French.
